Keeping You Active & Safe During COVID-19

During these unsettling times, it’s easy to worry about your health or the health of your loved ones. While social distancing and isolating are now the norm, we recognise that our essential allied health services simply cannot be put on hold. Our clients depend on us and we value that responsibility to you.

Throughout Covid-19Bodyright Healthcare has been fully operational, providing all services. We understand that our support is paramount to improving your physical and mental well-being, so we’re operating business as usual (mostly!) to help you feel a little less isolated and to provide a sense of normality during these unprecedented times.

But in order to continue providing premium allied health services during this time, we’re implementing precautionary measures.

Training our staff for the pandemic

As a leading healthcare provider, we have responded to the crisis by ensuring all of our staff are educated and trained in the subject of Covid-19. We have incorporated into our daily routines the Department of Health guidelines and recommendations to ensure that neither our clients nor our staff are at risk.

As of the 6th of August 2020, Bodyright Healthcare developed a Covid-19 Safety Plan and Covid-19 Management Plan. These mandatory documents were developed consistent with the Victorian State Government guidelines.

As regulated by the Department of Health, we temperature test our staff daily to ensure their temperature does not exceed 37.5 degrees Celsius. We monitor our staff’s health and ensure that they take leave if they are feeling unwell or present flu-like symptoms.

Our team members have also had mandatory flu vaccinations. While the flu vaccine cannot protect you from Covid-19, it is possible to become ill with both influenza and Covid-19. We recognise this as a measure to prevent very serious illness or flu-like symptoms throughout the season.

Providing safer consultations

We are still providing essential face-to-face consultations and pre-screening our clients’ health prior to their home visits. Prior to your consultations, we send a text message to clients asking the standard screening questions. These include:

  • Are you experiencing flu-like symptoms?
  • Have you come in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19?

At the beginning of your consultation, we ask the necessary screening questions again for extra precaution and we also temperature-check each client. During your appointment, you can expect our team members to wear the full mandatory PPE (gloves, gown, mask and shield) and keep our distance of 1.5 m until it is absolutely necessary for us to make contact to assess you.

We are now offering Telehealth consultations as a flexible alternative (especially for our vulnerable clients). These video consultations allow our therapists to provide you with advice and education, assess your technique and range of motion, encourage you through your exercise programs, and ensure you remain active.

If you are considering Telehealth, have a read through our step-by-step guide to using FaceTime, Skype or Zoom.

Finally, Bodyright Healthcare is continuously monitoring the situation and updates from government and medical authorities. As a leading allied health provider in Melbourne, we will continue to provide high-quality services, while ensuring we minimise the risks of spreading Covid-19. To enquire about our services, please call (03) 9558 9111 or contact us here. Visit here to book a Telehealth consultation.
